Recipe of the Week: Boozy Green Boba Tea

We’ve got a special-edition, festive Recipe of the Week for you this week – a tart treat we like to call Boozy Green Boba Tea. This drink’s green color and inclusion of Irish whiskey makes it perfect for St. Paddy’s celebrations!
Our Boozy Green Boba Tea is inspired by the classic Green Tea Shot, composed of Irish whiskey, Sweet ‘n Sour mix, and lemon lime soda. This shot is one of our favorites to add Cocktail Caviar to because it reminds us of the green tea commonly used in boba tea! We also love the shot without the boba, so we had a great time coming up with this drink. We know you’ll love it, too.
We like this drink tart, so we don’t add any extra sweeteners to the drink itself. We think the Lychee Cocktail Caviar provide plenty of sweetness – perfect when combined with the sugary rim! If you decide you’d like it a bit sweeter, though, you can always add a few dashes of simple syrup and stir.
This drink is best when sipped in the classic boba tea fashion: through a thick straw. It lets you pop a few pearls with each mouthful. Don’t worry if you don’t have one on hand, though – simply stir the ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and strain half into a smaller glass with 1-2 scoops of Lychee CC. Doing so makes for a great straw-less sipper (and you get to enjoy two!).

Boozy Green Boba Tea
- 1 Glass or Mason Jar
- 1 Boba/Smoothie Straw
- 2 oz Irish Whiskey
- 3 oz Sweet 'n Sour Mix
- 6 oz Lemon Lime Soda
- 2-3 scoops Lychee Boba POPS
- Coarse Sugar (optional - garnish)
- Rim glass with coarse sugar.
- Add 2-3 scoops of Lychee Boba POPS to glass.
- Add Irish Whiskey, Sweet 'n Sour Mix, and Lemon Lime Soda.
- Add ice.
- Grab your boba/smoothie straw. Stir and sip away!
